Matthew F Fisher - 'Hello Sea'
Matthew F Fisher was born in 1976 in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated in 1998 with a BFA from Columbus College of Art & Design, then in 2000 went on to get his MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. He spent several years as an adjunct professor at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg, NJ. He now lives and works as an Artist in Brooklyn, New York.
Fisher’s works are images of a moment, or maybe several, that have happened or will happen. Or maybe not. They are not magical, they are not superficial or surreal. Rather, they are once in a life time action, frozen just at the right instant so that everything lines up with the edge of the canvas or other elements within the painting. Our location, right then and there is transformed into something special. Our cosmic placement, both in space, time, and on this earth, is the exact reason why we see what we see.

Join us for a gallery brunch celebrating Matthew F. Fisher’s solo exhibition at One River in Englewood, NJ. At 2PM guests can enjoy a Q&A with Artist Matthew F. Fisher and One River School Founder, Matthew Ross. The event meets 1 to 4pm and includes drinks, hors d’oeuvres and a chance to meet the artist, explore new work and meet fellow art lovers.
